Forged from HSM material, PDIs manifolds eliminate the warping and cracking problems of an OEM manifold. With a high moly content, the worry of center-divider failure and metal dissipation is eliminated. Each manifold is designed with a ball seal joint, which allows for heat and flex at the joints, while holding a tight, efficient seal. Each PDI manifold includes high strength, quality studs for added strength and durability. Improved air flow helps to lower exhaust temperatures, reduce turbo lag, and increase horsepower and torque. PDIs viscous torsional damper is a design that consists of a free rotation inertia ring surrounded by a viscous silicone fluid enclosed in a laser welded, sealed housing. When crankshaft torsional vibrations occur, the outer housing of the damper reacts with the crankshaft, twisting as it rotates, while the inertia ring attempts to rotate at a constant speed. This relative motion between the inertia ring and housing causes the inertia ring to shear the silicone fluid, which reduces the destructive torsional vibrations of the crankshaft. OE (Original Equipment) plastic tank radiators typically fail at the joint between the plastic tank and the “crimped” aluminum header/core. PDIs Big Boss Radiators eliminate this failure mode by replacing the plastic tanks and aluminum core with either Bolt-On (steel) or Solder-On (brass) reinforced tanks and copper/brass core. PDIs radiator tanks and structure are made of high strength, heavy-gauge rust resistant steel or brass. PDIs radiators are professionally engineered using the latest Solid Modeling CAD (Computer Aided Design) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
